2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups half & half (1qt.)
4 cups whipping cream (4-1/2 pts)
8 tbsp vanilla

*Scald milk.
Add sugar and salt. Stir until completely dissolve. Add whipping cream and half & half. Stir in vanilla. Let completely cool. Pour into ice cream freezer and mix.

*heat to a temperature just short of the boiling point
