1 (8oz) jar sauerkraut, drained, rinsed and cut
1/4 c. water
1 small onion, chopped
6 center cut pork chops, cut 1/2 inch thick
1 1/2 cup applesauce
3 Tbsp brown sugar, packed

Directions:
Directions:
Trim fat from pork chops and discard. Lightly brown each side of chops in electric skillet. Remove chops and drain fat. Combine sauerkraut and water in the skillet, place chops on top. In a bowl, combine applesauce, onion and sugar. Pile on top chops. Cover tightly and simmer until done, about 40 minutes. Do not remove lid while simmering.
