1 pound carrots
1 chicken bouillon cube dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water
1/4 cup butter or margarine (can decrease slightly)
3 medium onions, sliced
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
3/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Pare carrots and cut in julienne strips. Cook carrots in bouillon, covered, 10 minutes. Melt butter; add onions and cook, covered 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in next four ingredients; bring to boiling. Add carrots and stock; simmer, uncovered 10 minutes. Add pinch of sugar.
