2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp.baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1tbsp.sugar
2 tbsp.butter
1 tbsp.syrup (maple or lyles)
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour,bakingpowder,salt and sugar.
Melt butter with syrup and add to flour mixture,then blend with a pastry blender until absorbed in flour.
Add egg and finally sour cream. Mix lightly. Turn dough onto floured board and knead lightly for less then 1 min. Divide in half and roll out one half to 1/2 in. thick,cut into 4 pie shaped wedges. Repeat with other half of dough. Put scones on lightly buttered cookie sheet. Bake 15 to 20 min at 450.
