5 1/2 Cups Sugar
1 1/2 Cup Karo Syrup Light
1 1/2 Cup Water
3 Tsp Cinnamon Oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Sugar, Syrup and Water, cook and stir until sugar dissolves. Then cook until 298º or hard crack stage. Turn off heat and add cinnamon oil and red food coloring. Stir until well mixed. Pour on buttered cookie sheet and let sit for just a minute, then score with a knife dipped in water. Let coo and break into pieces

Aunt Ruth, is my Dad's youngest sister, Ruth Blodgett. She can do anything, so talented. She is an artist, a great seamstress and a wonderful cook and baker. Actually, she made my wedding cake and many others in the family.
On this recipe, she said she always takes it outside to add the oil and that she doesn't have much luck in scoring the candy.
