1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbs. melted butter
3 Tbs. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg and add sugar. Add sifted dry ingredients and add vanilla and milk. Stir melted butter in last.

Spread in a 9" square pan and press fruit into dough close together. Sprinkle generously with sugar and bake at 375º until lightly brown and crisp.
Takes at least 50 minutes.

This is fine if you use fresh plums, peaches or apples. Fresh cherries are also good.
