1 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoons cooking oil
1 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and salt into an ungreased 9 x 9 inch pan. Make 3 wells in dry ingredients. Into one put the vanilla. Into another put the vinegar. Into the third put the cooking oil. Pour the water over all. Stir with a fork until well mixed.

Bake 30 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.

This was the first recipe we made in 7th grade home-ec class. It's all done in 1 pan - and it's delicious!
