2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup Quick Quaker Oats

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add in butter, sugar, milk, egg, and vanilla and beat well for about 2 minutes. Stir in oats. Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into shapes. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375º for about 15 minutes. Decorate with icing.

I've made these cookies for years. You can make them into other shapes--even like Easter eggs. Just take a teaspoon full and form into egg shape (dough will be stiff). Cookies taste like there's nuts in them.
