2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 Tbsp. lard
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 cup warm water
6 large apples (mac)
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup raisins
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter

Directions:
Sift flour and salt into bowl. Make a well in the center and drop in egg and lard. Work flour into egg and lard gradually. Combine water and vinegar. Work liquid into flour mixture to make a soft dough. Knead well. Continue towork dough by slapping it on a board hard several times. Continue thi9s until the dough has lost all stickiness, about 10 mins. Form in to ball and grease all over with butter or margerine. Place on a plate and cover with a bowl. Set in a warm place for about 30 mins. Place clean cloth on large table and dust with flour. Place dough in center of cloth, starting in the middle, stretch until the thickness of paper. Tear off the thick edge of the dough and discard. Peel and slice apples. Scatter sliced apples over dough, then raisins, sugar, cinnamon and bread crumbs. Sprinkle all with melted butter. Fold in sides and roll with cloth as for jelly roll. Cut into lengths of pan. Put into greased pan, brush with melted butter and bake at 350º oven until done. Take out of oven and brush again with meltwd butter.
