Cranberry Nut Bread Recipe

2 C. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 C. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 T. butter
3/4 C. fresh orange juice
1 T. grated orange peel
1 egg, beaten
1/2 C. chopped nuts
1 1/2 C. fresh cranberries

Preheat oven to 350.
Sift together first five ingredients.

Soften butter, and cut into dry ingredients until it resembles coarse cornmeal.

In separate bowl, combine orange juice, orange peel and egg. Pour wet ingredients over dry.
Stir enough to dampen only.

Fold in nuts and cranberries.

Spoon into 9x5 greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
