Ingredients:  
1 1/4 c chopped dates
1 c hot water
3/4 c butter
1 c sugar
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 t soda
1/2 t salt
1 bag chocolate chips
1/2 c nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dates and hot water and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs.
Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, alternating dry ingredients with date mixture.
Stir in 1/2 bag of choc chips. Place the rest on top and sprinkle with nuts.
Bake at 325º
