About 2 cups self rising corn meal mix
1/4 cup bacon grease
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
dash salt

Grease and pre-heat black iron frying pan in oven while mixing batter. Pour mixture into hot pan and bake in oven @ 375º This recipe can also be used for corn fritters by adding 1 can creamed corn and diced onion. Drop by tbsp. into hot grease and fry, flipping over when brown.
