2 T butter
1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 lg onion, chopped
1-1/2 C mayonaise
10 strips of bacon fried and crumbled (I've also used the Hormel jar real bacon or the pre-cooked packaged bacon)
1/4 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 C cheddar cheese, grated (I use a little more)
4 oz cream cheese, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Saute mushrooms in butter 3-5 minutes. Combine mayonnaise, onions, bacon, cream cheese, mushrooms and salt. Mix well. Add cheddar cheese and mix. Spread in flat ovenproof dish. Bake @ 350º for 20-25 minutes.

Makes about 4 cups.

Serve with cocktail bread, crostini, crackers, etc.

May be assembled up to 2 days in advance. Adjust baking time if mixture has been chilled.
