1 c. butter
2 c. butter
3 c. flour
4 eggs
1 c. milk (approximately)
2 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Sift and measure flour; add baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add one egg at a time and beat well. Alternate dry ingredients and milk, ending with flour. Beat well. Add vanilla. Bake in a tube pan at 300º.
