1 small onion, dices
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 cups of lentils
4 cups water
2 cups tomato juice
1 teaspoon of salt
1 bay leaf
pinch dill seed

Directions:
Directions:
1- Saute garlic and onion in butter. Add lentils and water.
2- Cook over low heat for 30 to 40 minutes.
3- Add remaining ingredient and cook 30 to 40 minutes until lentils are soft. Remove bay leaf before serving. Best made the day before serving and reheat.
