1 large onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. of vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 pound of pork sausage
1 pound of ground beef
1 large can of stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 can kernel corn
1 can pitted olives, sliced
2 teaspoons of chili powder
TOPPING for meat mixture:
1 egg, beaten
1 cup of milk
1 cup cornmeal

Directions:
Directions:
1- In a large sauce pan, cook onions, garlic clove (minced) in oil until onions are limp. Add sausage, ground beef and continue cooking over medium heat until meat separates and crumbles.
2- Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, kernel corn and sliced olives. Bring mixture to a boil stirring to blend the ingredients. Add chili powder and blend.
3- Prepare topping: Beat eggs and add milk. Slowly add cornmeal to milk, stirring constantly. Mixture will thicken. Set aside.
4- Grease a 13" X 9" X 3" pan. Transfer the meat mixture into pan and cover the meat with the cornmeal mixture. Spread cornmeal carefully over the meat to cover all edges around the pan.
5- Bake in a prepared oven 350º F for 1 hour.
