3/4 c elbow macaroni
1 c or more of cheese, cheddar and/or other favorites, cubed, with a few extra slices for topping, if you like
~ 1/2 c milk
crushed cracker crumbs
~2 T butter.

Directions:
Directions:
Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain, and pour into buttered casserole (baking) dish. While macaroni is still warm, add cubed cheese and milk, topping with a few extra slices of cheese, if you like. Then sprinkle cracker crumbs on top and dot with butter. Bake at 350º until brown on top, bubbling, and milk is absorbed.

This is not really a "recipe," but I guess it's the way my mother (May Rierson Reed) used to make it and my best description of what I do when I put this together from memory. I hope you use this as a guideline and make it your own.
