1 lb. dried navy beans
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 clove chopped garlic
1 bay leaf
6 strips cooked bacon
2 onions chopped
1 green pepper chopped
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 C chopped parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer soaked beans in water to cover with salt, pepper, garlic and bay leaf until just tender. Fry bacon until crisp and remove from pan. Saute onions in bacon grease until golden. Add green pepper and cook approx. five more minutes. Add oregano and parsley. Drain beans and mix with all other ingredients. Place in crock pot and cook all day on low.
