Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 Tbsp. cake flour
4 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 Tsp. baking soda
1 Egg
3 Tbsp. milk
3 Tbsp. oil
2 Tbsp. of chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in a coffee mug or small bowl. Add the egg, stir well. Add the milk and oil, stir well. Add chips and stir.
Microwave for 3 minutes. (My whimpy microwave takes 3.5 minutes so make concessions for lower powered machines.) Let cake rest a minute to cool, then turn out on to a plate or eat from the mug.
Tips:
I use a cappuccino mug because it is bigger and when the cake is done, it fills it exactly to the rim. The cake will rise and look like it's going to ooze out of the mug. So, if you have a choice, use the biggest coffee mug you have.
I recommend the mini chips for this recipe because the large ones sink to the bottom. Variations would include using different flavored chips or adding nuts. You can also top with your favorite frosting or whipped cream.
