Hermit Cookies Recipe

1/2 cup of margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg well beaten
1/2 cup nuts
1 cup raisins
11/2 cup of flour
2 tsp.baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/4 cup sour cream

Cream together margarine and sugar until light,add vanilla and well beaten egg. Add chopped nuts and raisins. Add dry ingredients alternating with the sour cream. Mix well. Chill Dough. Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until nicely browned.
