2 cups sugar
2/3 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup dairy sour cream
5 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Gradually add sugar to butter, cream thoroughly. Add eggs; beat until fluffy. Stir in vanilla and sour cream. Sift dry ingredients and add mixing to a smooth, soft dough. Chill well. Roll 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut in large 3 - 4 inch cookies. Place on greased cookie sheet. sprinkle with sugars. Bake at 375 degrees until lightly browned...about 9 minutes.

Makes about 3 dozen fat soft cookies. if you want think cookies, roll doughy very thin. Decorate as you desire
