1 Cup Sugar
½ C water
¼ C Light Corn Syrup
10 Marshmallows
1tsp peppermint extract
10 drops food coloring
3 C walnuts or Pecans

Sugared Walnuts: (Ruth)
1 ½ C Sugar
½ C liquid
1tsp light corn syrup
¼ tsp salt
2 to 3 cups walnuts halves and/or pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, liquid, corn syrup and salt. Cook to the soft-ball stage (235-240º) Remove from heat, add walnuts, stir until creamy. Turn onto aluminum foil or waxed paper. Separate and let cool.

Orange Sugared: ½ orange juice for liquid. Add 1 ½ tsp grated orange peel.
Spiced: Use ½ C water as liquid. Add ½ tsp of both nutmeg, cloves and 2 tsp cinnamon.
Minted: Use ½ C milk as liquid. Add few drops of green food coloring and ¾ tsp mint flavoring stirred in after cooking.
