1 (7-oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni, 2 cups uncooked
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon pepper, white if you have it
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar, colby or swiss cheese
1/4 cup buttered bread crumbs, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Drain. In a medium saucepan melt butter. Add flour, salt, mustard and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. Do not brown. Stir in milk, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cook until smooth and thickened. Add cheese and stir until melted. Combine macaroni and cheese sauce. Pour into a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Top with bread crumbs. Bake in a 350º oven for 30 minutes.
