Marinated Vegetable Salad Recipe

1 can whole kernel yellow corn
1 can French-style green beans
1 can English peas
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 small jar pimentos
1 small onion, chopped
3 or 4 stalks of celery, chopped
1 1/4 tsp salt

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 Tbsp water
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
1 tsp parsley flakes

Pour corn, green beans, and peas into a cooking pan and bring to a boil; drain well; cool. In separate bowl mix together bell pepper, pimentos, onion, celery, and salt and then add to the corn mixture; Mix well. For marinade, add sugar, oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and water into cooking pan and bring to a boil. Remove and add oregano, basil, and parsley flakes. Pour over vegetable mixture. Refrigerate 24 hours.
