16 large slices French bread (1 loaf)
butter
1 lb. grated sharp cheese
8 eggs
1 qt. milk
1 tsp. each salt and pepper
4 tsp. dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Cut off crust and butter the slices of bread. Arrange half of bread in single layer in greased 11x13 glass pan. Top with 1/2 of grated cheese. Repeat layers.
Beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper & mustard; pour over bread. Cover and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
