8-10 (1 in.) slices french bread
5T. butter melted
4 eggs
2 egg yolks
3 c. milk
1 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
powdered sugar to garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Brush both sides of bread with butter, place in 13x9x2 greased baking dish. Beat eggs and yolks together. Add milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg. Mix well. Pour over bread, cover and chill overnight.
Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes prior to baking. Bake uncovered at 350° for 55-60 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
