10 very thin slices of eye of round roast beef
1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
2 T. butter
salt and pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
5 hard rolls (split)
extra softened butter for the rolls

Directions:
Directions:
Brown onions in the butter until golden. Remove from pan and set aside. In the same pan, season the steaks with salt and peppeer and cook about 2-3 minutes per side. Set aside. Butter each side of the rolls with a thin coat of butter. Top bottom half of roll with 2 pieces of steak and a mound of onions. Cover the other half of the roll with the mozzarella. Brown under the broiler until cheese is melted. Fill with shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes if desired.
