2 lbs. lean stew beef
1/2 cup flour
salt and pepper
2 T. vegetable oil
3 jars Heinz beef gravy
2 cups water
1 bunch carrots, peeled and cut into 2" pieces
4-5 potatoes, peeled and quartered

Directions:
Directions:
Dredge beef cubes in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Brown in heated oil until no pink remains. Add gravy and water and scrape bottom of pan well. Cover and simmer for 2 hours. Add carrots and potatoes and cook until tender, about another hour. To thicken: whisk a bit of flour in a small bowl with some of the liquid, then blend with a whisk into the pot.
