2 packages dry yeast
6 cups unsifted flour
1 T. sugar
2 t. salt
2 cups milk
1/4 t. baking soda
1/2 cup water
cornmeal (for dusting pan)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 3 cup of flour with yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda. Heat liquids until very warm (don't boil).
Add the warm liquids to the dry mixture and beat well. Stir in the rest of the flour to make a stiff batter. Spoon into two 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Bake at 400°F for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately and cool.
