1 3/4 cups sifted flour
1 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream together thoroughly the butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until light. Gradually add the flour mixture until blended. Add walnuts. Chill 30 minutes then shape into two 1 1/2 " diameter rolls and wrap in wax paper. Chill at least two hours. Cut into 1/2" slices and bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375°F for 10 minutes.
