1 lb. lean beef, sliced very thin as for stir fry
1 T. butter
1 T. vegetable oil
2 cups beef broth
2-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup pea pods, strings removed
1 bunch scallions, thinly sliced
1 T. vegetable oil
1 T. oyster sauce (more if desired)
lo mein noodles
soy sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Saute beef in butter and oil until browned. Add the beef broth and the garlic and simmer for 20 minutes. Drain, reserving gravy, and set both aside. Steam pea pods until tender crisp and add the scallions for one minute. Saute pea pods and scallions in hot oil with oyster sauce and set aside. Cook lo mein noodles in boiling water until tender and drain. Saute the noodles in a small amount of oil and oyster sauce for I minute. Combine all mixture by tossing together over medium high heat with soy sauce. Serve very hot.
