Marshmallow Brownies Recipe

Brownies:
1 cup butter
4 oz, unsweetened chocolate
4 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
5 oz. miniature marshmallows

frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup condensed milk (small can)
1 lb box of powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

For the brownies.

melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler over warm water.
In another large bowl, beat eggs. Add both sugars, then flour and baking powder. Stir in vanilla and nuts and then chocolate mixture. (Don't wash chocolate pot - you can use it for the frosting.)
Turn into greased and floured 15 X 10 X 1 in pan (or use a 13 X0 and put some in a small loaf pan).
Bake at 325º for 25-30 minutes.
(While brownies bake, prepare frosting)
Remove from oven and IMMEDIATELY spread marshmallows over top, then frosting on top of that.
Let sit for 24 hours. They freeze great.

Frosting:
Add butter, sugar, chocolate, condensed milk to chocolate pot on top of double boiler to melt. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla with electric mixer.
(Try to keep frosting from getting too thick - make it near the end of baking time).
