Scald: 1-1/3 cups milk

Stir in: 2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 tablespoon corn syrup
Dash salt

Directions:

Cook until forms soft ball in cold water. Add ½ cup butter, ½ cup peanut butter, 1 tablespoon vanilla and ½ cup nuts, if desired. Beat until thick, pour into buttered 8x8” pan (or pan lined with wax paper). Refrigerate until hard then cut into squares

I’m not sure where this recipe came from, but it has always been a family favorite growing up. Even newcomers to the family who initially comment on how sweet it is, eventually become converts addicted to it.
