5 Cups Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 1/2 Cup Raisins
1 1/4 Cup Water
12 Cup Molasses
1 Cup Shortening
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 TLB Butter
4 eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
Nuts
20 Gumdrops

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Simmer Chopped Raisins, Molasses and water...simmer for 10 minutes and cool. Cream shortening & butter. Add sugar gradually. Add eggs one at a time, beating in well. Add Vanilla, the raisin mix and sifted dry ingredients and beat well. Add cut up gumdrops and nuts. Stir thoroughly. Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake 400 degrees 12 - 15 minutes. If desired, frost while warm with powdered sugar icing.
