1 lb. beef
1 lb. pork
olive oil

2 stalks celery, diced
2 onions, chopped
2 cans Chinese vegetables, drained
2 cans bean sprouts, drained
1 can water chestnuts; sliced, drained
7 oz. soy sauce (or to taste)

Directions:
Directions:
Drizzle olive oil in the bottom of a large kettle and brown meat. Remove and set aside. Saute celery and onions in same pan.

When vegetables are tender, add 1 cup water (or beef broth) and return meat to the pan. Cook covered for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, until meat is tender. Add Chinese vegetables, sprouts, and chopped water chestnuts. Stir in soy sauce to taste and continue to heat until serving temperature, or freeze for later use. Served with rice, it is Chop Suey. Served with noodles, it is Chow Mein.
