1 1/2 c coffee
1/2 c milk
2/3 c sugar
1 T gelatin (1 envelope)
3 eggs (separated)
salt, vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix coffee, milk, gelatin and 1/2 c. sugar in a double boiler and heat.
Add remaining sugar, salt and slightly beaten egg yolks and cook until thickened.
Remove from heat and add stiffly beaten egg whites, vanilla and pinch of salt
Pour into bowl or cassarole dish and refrigerate until set

As the dessert chills, it separates into 3 layers. A glass bowl is nice, so you can see the layers.
