2 Cups Sifted Flour
1 3/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 tsp. Soda
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Shortening
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Egg Yolks Beaten
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 Egg Whites

Directions:
Directions:
Sift Flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add well beaten egg yolks. Add sour cream and flour mixture. Add Vanilla. Beat Egg Whites until stiff but not dry and then beat in the reaminging 1/2 cup sugar. Fold egg whites into Cake Batter. Pour batter in pan and bake 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
