2 TB cornstarch
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup pineapple syrup, plus water
2 egg yolks
1 cup Cool Whip
6 bananas
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
2/3 cup Maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cornstarch and sugar and pineapple syrup with water to make 1 cup. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Add egg yolks slowly and mix with a whisk. Cool. When ready to make the salad, mix the dressing with the Cool Whip with a wire whisk. Fold in the marshmallows and bananas and cherries.
