2 lb cubed beef stew meat
2 TB butter
4 cups boiling water
1 TB lemon juice
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 medium onion, sliced
1-2 bay leaves
1 TB salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
Dash of garlic salt
Dash of allspice and cloves
Carrots, potatoes, 1 pkg frozen peas

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in butter in an electric skillet. Add water, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion, bay leaves and seasonings. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Add cut-up potatoes, carrots, and 1 pkg frozen peas. Cover and cook 30 minutes more.

This is a wonderful stew! It is a meal in itself. Serve with a tossed green salad and hot bread.
