1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp almond extract

Milk
1/2 cup sliced almonds, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together butter, sugar and egg. Add all dry ingredients.
Add almond extract. Divide dough into 4 equal portions and roll into a 12-inch- long roll. Place 2 rolls 4 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Using your hands, flatten each roll until it is 3 inches wide. Repeat with the other 2 rolls on another cookie sheet. Brush flattened rolls with milk and sprinkle with the chopped almonds.
Bake one sheet at a time in a 325 degree oven for about 12 minutes. While still warm, slice diagonally into 1 inch pieces. Cool. Drizzle with frosting.
ALMOND FROSTING
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp almond extract
3 tsp milk
