1/3 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. cream or evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
4 c. powdered sugar
milk, if necessary

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, then add cream, vanilla, salt and 1 c. powdered sugar. Beat until creamy. Gradually add the rest of powdered sugar. If necessary, add milk 1 tsp. at a time until you have the consistency you want.

I add different extracts to go with different cakes, like almond, butter, orange, maple...etc. My favorite is part vanilla, part butter and part almond.

In place of cream, you could use flavored liquid coffee creamer too!
