1 C. Butter, softened
1/2 C. Powdered Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
2-1/4 C. Flour
3/4 C. Walnuts, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. Salt

Additional Powdered sugar to roll baked cookies in.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º
Mix butter, Powdered Sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir in flour, nuts and salt until dough holds together.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set, but not brown. Cool cookies slightly on wire rack.
Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar; cool on wire rack. Roll in powdered sugar again.

These almost melt in your mouth. Some people call these Mexican Wedding Cookies, but we grew up calling them Russian Teacakes.
