4 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. corn starch

10 c. water
3 tsp. lemon juice

apples of your choice

Directions:

Blend in large pan: sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in water. Heat and stir until bubbly then add the lemon juice.

Pack sliced apples in quart jars. Leave one inch space; add syrup. Let out air bubbles by running knife down the side of the jar.

Cold pack 15 minutes after the water starts to boil. 7 quarts.


I melt margarine in a skillet then add the pie filling and cook it down similar to fried apples.
