1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (divided)
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, room temperature
2 cups whipped topping (divided)
2 (3 oz) pkgs chocolate instant pudding (lemon, vanilla, or other flavors could be substituted)
3 cups milk

LAYER 1:
Combine flour, butter, pecans, and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Press into bottom of 9 inch baking dish. Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
LAYER 2:
Mix cream cheese, 1 cup whipped topping, and 1 cup powdered sugar with electric mixer until smooth. Spread over Layer 1.
LAYER 3:
Beat pudding and milk on lowest speed of electric mixer for two minutes. Spread over Layer 2.
LAYER 4:
Spread 1 cup whipped topping over Layer 3. Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
