2 cups all - purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 - 8oz. shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Cut shortening into dry ingredients, add milk and cheese mix well. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pan. Bake at 350º for 8 - 10 minutes. Stir together 2 tbsp. melted butter or margarine and 1/4 tsp. garlic powder. Brush or spoon on top of warm biscuits.
You can use 2 cups of Bisquit mix, just add sugar, cheese and 2/3 cup milk.
