3-4 lbs. boneless beef round steak or sirloin steak
1 tsp. peppered seasoning salt
3-4 potatoes, cubed
1 1/2 cup baby carrots
2 medium onions
14 1/2-oz. can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, oregano
12-oz. jar home-style beef gravy
chopped fresh parsley
1-2 tbsp cornstarch

Cut beef into 2-3"pieces. Sprinkle with seasoning salt. Brown on both sides lightly in skillet with small amount of oil. Layer potatoes, carrots, onions, and beef in slow cooker. Combine tomatoes and gravy. Pour over beef and vegetables.Cook on low for 7-9 hours.

Vegetables can be added to taste. This stew typically creates a lot of liquid. About an hour before serving-check veggies for doneness.If a thicker gravy is preferred,remove about a cup of liquid, mix 1-2 tbsp.of cornstarch in a small amt.of cold water,stir into liquid and return to crockpot to thicken. For something more spicy-add tomatoes with jalapeņos-Although this contains tomatoes-Mike loves it!
