3 strips of bacon cut into small pieces
1 1/2 TBSP Flour
2 cans Sauerkraut
2 small Potatoes, cubed
2 small Apples, cubed
3 TBSP Brown Sugar
1 1/2 Tsp Caraway seeds
1-2 Pounds Polish Sausage cut into pieces
1/2 cup Water

Directions:
Directions:
Fry Bacon until crisp; drain. Add flour to bacon drippings and blend well. Stir in Sauerkraut; mix well. Place in large (3 1/2 QT) Crock Pot. Add all other ingredients mix thoroughly. Cover and cook on Low 7-9 hours; or High 3-4 hours.

You can skip the bacon part if you are in a hurry but it really adds flavor (and fat).
Any good sausage works with this.
