3 c. white sugar
2/3 c. molasses
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
3 small boxes candied pineapple
1 lb. chopped walnuts
3 lb. raisins
1 lb. chopped dates
1/2 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. shredded citron peel
1 box of orange peel
1 box of lemon peel
2 level tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. nutmeg
flour to make quite a stiff dough

Bake 2 hours or more in slow oven. This makes enough for 4 loaf pans.
