1 large can Carnation Evaporated Milk
1-2/3 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1-1/2 cups (16 med) marshmallows
1-1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 2/3 cup evaporated milk, 1-2/3 cups sugar and 1/2 tsp salt in saucepan over low heat. Heat to boiling, then cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add 1-1/2 cups marshmallows, 1-1/2 cups chocolate pieces, 1 tsp vanilla and nuts if desired. Stir 1-2 minutes (until marshmallows melt). Pour into buttered 9" square pan.

Grandmother was a wonderful candy maker. She always made lots of different candies around the holidays. This was a favorite.
