1 pound beef stew meat
1 pound pork, cut into cubes
6 small onions, peeled and quartered
4 tablespoons bacon drippings (or shortening)
Salt and pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon marjoram
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 16 oz can stewed tomatoes
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
5 potatoes, peeled and cut in chunks
1 1/2 cups carrots, sliced

Directions:

In a large stew pot brown the meats in hot oil. Stir in the onions and salt and pepper generously. Add the remaining ingredients with two or three cups water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for one hour.
